The overall purpose of the Steps Towards Entrepreneurial Resilience (STER) project was to deliver successful approaches to fostering entrepreneurship for 20 residents in The Black Country. It contained measures for residents interested in progressing business ideas into the actual start-up phase. Our provision comprised 1-1 & group technical help, scoping market research intelligence, business plan analysis and support with formal registration and actual start-up. The goal was to boost entrepreneurial resilience via self-employment for up to 15 or 75% of all participants. Eligibility will be for youths post 16 years, the unemployed, minority ethnic groups, women, persons with moderate disability, over-50s whose experiences and skills were underutilised.
